چکیده

Infrared (IR) thermal imaging has aroused great interest due to its wide application in medical, scientific, and military fields. Most reported approaches for regulating radiation are aimed realize IR camouflage not applicable enhance imaging. Here, we introduce a simple effective method process porous glass by femtosecond laser scanning, where distributed nanocavities nanowires were produced, which caused improvement of the treated emissivity. The as-prepared sample possessed better performance but lower transmittance visible light. We also demonstrated applicability placing it different backgrounds, image temperature laser-treated was closer actual environment, this strategy may provide new vision enhanced

Femtosecond laser-induced stress-free ultra- densification inside porous glass

Unusually high densification ⩽26% was obtained without lateral residual stresses within the laser beam waist inside porous glass during its multi-shot femtosecond laser irradiation, which may induce in the glass the related high refractive index change ~0.1. Corresponding laser irradiation regimes, resulting in such ultra-densification, decompaction and voids inside the glass, were revealed as ...

Thermal poling of glass modified by femtosecond laser irradiation

Thermal poling of silica glass modified by femtosecond laser irradiation is demonstrated. Increase of second-harmonic generation in the irradiated regions is observed. This enhancement is interpreted in terms of structural modifications in silica glass that make the poling process more efficient. Evidence of a change in the distribution of the electrostatic field frozen in glass during poling i...

Femtosecond-laser Nanostructuring in Glass

We demonstrate the polarization-dependent anisotropy of the laser induced nanostructures inside SiO2 and GeO2 glass. Such nanostructures show form birefringence which is controllable by the femtosecond double-pulse configuration. In the case of SiO2 glass, we have also demonstrate polarization imaging filter based on the linear dichroism for the visible light ranging from 400 to 800 nm. While, ...

Femtosecond Laser 3D Fabrication in Porous Glass for Micro- and Nanofluidic Applications

The creation of complex three-dimensional (3D) fluidic systems composed of hollow microand nanostructures embedded in transparent substrates has attracted significant attention from both scientific and applied research communities. However, it is by now still a formidable challenge to build 3D microand nanofluidic structures with arbitrary configurations using conventional planar lithographic f...

Thermal conductivity in porous silicon nanowire arrays

The nanoscale features in silicon nanowires (SiNWs) can suppress phonon propagation and strongly reduce their thermal conductivities compared to the bulk value. This work measures the thermal conductivity along the axial direction of SiNW arrays with varying nanowire diameters, doping concentrations, surface roughness, and internal porosities using nanosecond transient thermoreflectance. For Si...
